 10Verified A real escape ☺We absolutely loved our stay in the railway carriage, it was so peaceful and private, it really felt like an escape. Lots of footpaths near the farm, so plenty of opportunities for walking, or you can just hang out in the hottub! It did require some effort, being heated by a log burner, but the video made it clear, and it was so nice not having chlorinated water. We managed to cook a good meal on the stove top, and ate out in Caerphilly the other night. ☹Nothing

We walked in not expecting a lot! But I can’t say how much the place has exceeded our expectations.

Firstly it was really peaceful and we had enough space and privacy to enjoy quality time with the kids. So 10 for location and atmosphere.

Facilities, were also exceeded our expectations. We had everything we needed, the toilets, kitchen appliances and utilities was all great.

The fridge did breakdown at some point on the same day we arrived but they have managed to replace it quite instantaneously which helped keep our food fresh.

Value for money was spot on in terms of facilities, atmosphere and cleanliness

The place was clean at arrival and the toiletries were ideal for a family

For someone who is an ND my main concern was noise, the place was perfect in noise levels ie just peaceful and the family opposite the pond were far enough to not be disturbing whilst they also enjoyed their time.

Hot tub was clean and fun to use, the bbq was clean minus the unexpected wind on day 2 but it was good fun nonetheless

I didn’t know they have also a larger more private tent so we will be looking to book that next! Even though the view of the pond was something special too!

We enjoyed our time here in the Safari Tent very much - the view was spectacular, the tent was amazingly clean and comfortable, you would have the least trouble getting there, everything was perfect and was well thought of.

The online guidance was easy to use and very helpful. Zero noise, and it’s a great value for money. Will definitely be staying there in the future.

Lovely short break, Lydia was amazing. Accommodation is well spaced out so you have lots of privacy, beautiful location, we ordered breakfast and were pleasantly surprised with the quantity of items. Would highly recommend to anyone thinking of booking. We hope to go back soon. Thanks for a lovely stay Lydia ❤️

We were a group of 5 adults and 1 child. The Lodge is amazing with plenty of space inside and out. Our 3 year old loved his bed in the cwtch! The bbq area and hot tub are great as well as sandpit and mud kitchen for the little one. Plenty of games to keep you busy - we enjoyed a game of boules. Great views, we had an amazing time, would highly recommend. 5*

Such a peaceful setting with everything that you need or could want during the ultimate glamping trip. Was perfect for our dog too, to have space to relax without people passing by. Nice walk from the site and good pub food in the village.

This is our 4th visit to Under the Oak and our 3rd staying in the Dan Y Ffawydden cabin. For us as a family of four with a dog, this cabin suits us perfectly - offering us privacy, space, and a secure area for our dog to roam around. We enjoy the walks available nearby and the views over Caerphilly every night. Fantastic hosts and we'll be going back for sure - an ideal base, with lots of new places to explore depending on how far you wish to drive

A stunning location, peaceful and tranquil. We stayed with family and friends in 2 of the accommodations. They were beautifully done, and we loved the hot tubs. Fully recommend a stay here.

Incredible place. Each unit is private enough to feel like you have your own space but still near enough that you don’t feel completely isolated. The lodge was immaculate with so many lovely little homely touches. I slept like a baby in the comfortable bed with only the birds and the trees for background noise.
We will definitely be returning, we didn’t want to leave!!

We had the most wonderful stay at Under the Oak Glamping – everything was just perfect from start to finish. The cabin was spotless and beautifully clean, which instantly made us feel at ease. The bed was so comfy and cosy – we slept like logs each night!

One of the absolute highlights was the lovely hot tub – soaking in it under the stars was such a treat. Inside, the fireplace made the cabin feel warm and homely, especially in the evenings when we curled up with a hot drink. Speaking of drinks – we were pleasantly surprised to find tea bags, coffee, and hot chocolate waiting for us, along with a full set of pots, pans, and cutlery in the kitchen area. Everything had been thoughtfully provided.

The shower was warm and powerful, a real bonus for a glamping spot. We also loved the honesty shop – such a sweet touch – and picked up a pack of playing cards, which added to our relaxing time unplugged from the world.

All in all, an incredible experience in a beautiful setting. We’ll definitely be back! 🌿💚

An amazing family adventure in our Safari tent. The views over Wales were fantastic with our neighbour cows providing lots of entertainment for the week. The accommodation was well presented and clean. The children loved, loved, loved the box bed with its twinkly lights. Out tent and hot tub looked out over the pond and the children enjoyed making the different fires. Such a great family holiday to unwind. Certainly worth the money for a tranquil break in a beautiful country.

We absolutely loved our stay at under the oak Glamping. We stayed in the newest six person tent. The views were spectacular. The tent is situated on its own so very private and only a short walk from the main farmhouse. The hot tub was fab. The tent is very well equipped and the three bedrooms all very comfortable. My children were fighting to stay in the cupboard bed! The bathroom is very nice. Lydia and Richard were so welcoming and very helpful when teaching us how to heat the hot tub. There had been a calf born whilst we were there and Richard kindly let us see her. There is lots to see and do in the area. We went out to the Gower peninsular one day. Up to the Brecon beacons on another, and to Big Pit on a rainy morning. I would certainly recommend this to all types of groups, we will certainly be returning!
